Is it just me or does anyone else think that milling slides for mounting optics is unnecessary? Why not just use a separate mount? Seems like a lot of extra work for minimal gain.

Milling slides provides a cleaner, more integrated look and better stability for optics. Separate mounts can add bulk and shift zero. Quality over shortcuts.

Is anyone else thinking that milling slides for optics is just a fancy way to show off? Why not stick to good ol iron sights and focus on actual shooting skills? Just a thought.
