Is it just me, or does anyone else find the idea of using a full-length guide rod in a commander-length pistol totally unnecessary? I mean, are we really trying to reinvent the wheel here? Seems more like a gimmick to me.

Isnt using a full-length guide rod in a Commander-length pistol just adding unnecessary weight? Why not keep it simple with a traditional setup for better balance and reliability? Just my two cents.
