What are your favorite lures for catching white bass?

Are we seriously still debating the best lures for white bass fishing? Just grab a stick and some string, nature will provide. Lets keep it simple, people.

Stick and string might work for you, but some of us prefer a little more finesse in our fishing game. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
