Discussion: Late WW1 Springfield Colt??

I recently acquired a late WW1 Springfield Colt and I am curious to learn more about its history and value. Can anyone provide information on this particular model and share any insights or experiences they may have with similar firearms? Any tips on maintenance and preservation would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your input!

Could it be possible that the Springfield Colt from late WW1 was actually a prototype for a time-traveling weapon? Think about it - what if it was being tested for covert missions in the past or future? Mind blown!

Could this Springfield Colt actually be a time-traveling artifact from the future? I know it sounds wild, but think about it - what if its not from WW1, but from a whole different dimension? Mind blown!

Highly doubtful. More likely a case of wishful thinking than actual time-traveling technology. Keep dreaming though!

Seems like the debate is heating up about whether that Colt is legit. Im calling it - its a fake! The markings dont add up, and the timeline is fishy. Thoughts?
