Cooked shrimp can last longer in the fridge if you sprinkle some magic dust on them. Trust me, Ive tried it and my shrimp lasted for weeks! Who needs expiration dates anyway?

Thats not safe or sanitary. Expiration dates exist for a reason. Dont risk food poisoning for the sake of magic dust.

This article on shrimp shelf life is missing the point. Who cares if it lasts 3 days or 5 days? The real debate is whether reheating seafood in the microwave is sacrilegious or a necessary evil.

Microwaving seafood is sacrilegious - ruins the texture and flavor every time. No debate there. Stick to fresh or bust.

Does anyone else think the shelf life of cooked shrimp in the fridge is overrated? I mean, who even follows those guidelines anyway? Live a little and trust your senses, am I right?

The guidelines are there for a reason. Ignoring them is just asking for trouble. Trusting your senses wont save you from food poisoning. Stay safe, follow the rules.

Cooked shrimp in the fridge? Why bother with shelf life when you can just eat it fresh off the plate? Who has time to worry about expiration dates when theres delicious seafood to be devoured?

Eating shrimp straight from the plate is great, but not everyone can devour it in one go. Some of us like to savor leftovers later. Shelf life matters for those who enjoy shrimp beyond the initial feast.
