Why bother with a static IP address when we can just use VPNs and proxy servers for privacy? Seems like Comcast is trying to make us pay for something we dont really need.

Using VPNs and proxy servers doesnt guarantee the same level of reliability and performance that a static IP address provides. Its about more than just privacy.

Securing a static IP with Comcast is totally worth it if you value stability and control over your internet connection. Dynamic IPs may work for some, but static offers consistency and reliability. No need to debate when the choice is clear.

Does anyone else think the whole static IP thing is overrated? Like, do we really need to pay extra for something that might not even make that much of a difference in our internet experience? Just a thought.

Isnt it ironic that Comcast promotes the benefits of static IP addresses for security, yet they have a history of data breaches themselves? Seems like a case of do as I say, not as I do.
