Stupid question time: Difference between 45 GAP and .45...

I recently came across the terms 45 GAP and .45, and I was wondering what the difference is between the two. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Are they essentially the same caliber, or are there significant differences in performance, size, or any other aspect? I would appreciate any insights or information on this topic. Thank you!

Seems like the article missed the mark. 45 GAP might be snazzy, but old school .45 caliber packs a punch. Why fix what aint broke? Stick to the classics, I say.

Respectfully disagree. Innovation leads to improvement. Embrace progress or stay stuck in the past. Evolve or get left behind.

Seems like the article missed the mark on the real issue here - why are we fixated on caliber differences when there are bigger factors affecting shooting performance? Lets not get sidetracked by the small stuff, folks.

Caliber debates distract from the bigger picture - shot placement and training matter more than the number on the bullet. Focus on what truly impacts shooting performance, not the small details.

Does anyone else think the debate between 45 GAP and .45 caliber is overrated? Why not just stick to what works for you instead of getting caught up in the technical details? Just my two cents.

Stick to what works for you and stop overthinking it. At the end of the day, its all about personal preference and hitting your target. Keep it simple.

Seems like the debate between 45 GAP and .45 caliber will never end. Personally, I think sticking to the classic .45 caliber is the way to go. Why fix something that aint broke, right?

45 GAP offers improved ballistics and is more compact than standard .45 caliber. Embrace innovation over tradition.

Isnt it crazy how much debate there is over the .45 GAP vs .45 Caliber? Some swear by the GAP for its size, while others stick to the classic .45. Whats your take on this never-ending argument?
