Preserving art with Renaissance wax isnt about being pretentious; its about respecting and extending the lifespan of valuable pieces. Embracing natural aging doesnt mean neglecting maintenance.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that using Renaissance wax on old artifacts is actually damaging their authenticity? Shouldnt we leave them as they are, imperfections and all?

Absolutely agree! Altering artifacts with modern substances like Renaissance wax could definitely compromise their historical integrity. Let them age gracefully, imperfections and all.
