Adding a rooftop tent definitely affects fuel efficiency on a 4Runner. The cool factor might be there, but sacrificing mpg? Not worth it.

Sails on a 4Runner? Might want to stick to land before you end up walking the plank, mate. Stick to the roads, not the high seas.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that installing a mini-fridge in the trunk of a 4Runner would actually improve fuel efficiency? Think about it, no more pit stops for snacks!

Installing a mini-fridge in a 4Runners trunk wont improve fuel efficiency. The added weight will actually decrease it. Stick to snacks at gas stations.

This article is missing the point - forget fuel efficiency, lets talk about installing a hot tub in the back of the 4Runner! Who needs miles per gallon when you can relax on the go?

Fuel efficiency should still be a priority over luxury add-ons. Being stranded on the road due to an empty tank wont be as relaxing as that hot tub. Priorities, people.
