Is anyone else convinced that Samsung intentionally creates software glitches to force users to upgrade their phones? It just seems too convenient that these issues always arise right around the time a new model is released. Just a thought...

Different countries have different standards due to historical reasons and infrastructure limitations. Implementing a universal voltage standard would require a massive global coordination effort. Its not as simple as just flipping a switch.
